It’s an epic understatement to say that I’m a fan of The Guild. Obsessed, infatuated, in a perpetual state of lust with? Now we’re getting warmer! Written by and starring the luminously nerdalicious Felicia Day, this mega beloved web series follows a guild of misfits who play a World of Warcraft-ian MMORPG, and much hilarity n’ hijinks ensue. The show wrapped its latest season in 2009, and you can now score The Guild: Season 3 as an Amazon.com exclusive with tons of extra features. As an owner of the Seasons 1 & 2 combo set, I can vouch for the awesomeness of those extras – from cast commentaries to interviews, gag reels and creator videos, and more. The DVD also includes the “Do You Want To Date My Avatar” music video, which is just as infectious and ridiculous as it sounds!
Now it’s true, you can absolutely watch The Guild free online; however I’m partial to the DVDs for their “play all” feature, which allows you to watch the entire season in just about an hour’s time – and also skips all the title sequences. And have I mentioned the special features? (Srsly, the commentaries are hilarious and well worth a listen!) I’mma stop fangasaming now, honest. But one last thing: if you don’t love The Guild, I will totally send you to Vorktanamo Bay!
