Telekinetic Obstacle Course Game

At first glance, the Telekinesis Obstacle Course looks pretty rad. After all, the idea that you can move an object through a complex course with your mind has “nerdy” and “SCIENCE!” written all over it. But just as a fancy illusion is all smoke and mirrors, this “telekinetic toy” relies heavily on clever handling and user assistance. Yes, you’ll get to levitate an extremely light-weight, fan-propelled ball with your mind (thanks to a headband, earlobe clips, and seven batteries). But that’s about it. You have to turn the knob on the toy to rotate the obstacle course, meaning the ball itself only moves vertically. Somewhat shady marketing? I’d say so. And $100 for a 5 minute distraction? I’ll take a subscription to the Playboy Channel Popular Science instead, thanks!

Ah, that thing… I asked for one of these for Christmas, and my family got me a Star Trek “Force Trainer” instead. XD The headpiece didn't fit, I think the base took ten(?) batteries, and Yoda kept yelling at me.

Even if these sorts of toys are really just marketing ploys, I can't help but be excited by the fact that they apparently HAVE scientists working on developing telekinesis. :D

…I meant to say Star WARS, and the edit button is working. :P Sorry.

…Isn't. ISN'T working. *sigh* I fail. My apologies.

Oh I know! It's rad to see that modern science is looking to develop toys n' technologies that take advantage of such a thing. Maybe telekinesis will be an Olympic sport one day? ;-)

Whichever competitor levitates the others the highest wins…
